We have submitted a report to Edmonton City Councilors but this is only the first step to changing the conditions at the Edmonton pound and the operation of Edmonton Animal Services. Without changes vast numbers of animals will continue to be indiscriminately and unnecessarily killed without ever having the opportunity to find new homes.
While Edmonton Animal Services has an official policy of not transferring unclaimed animals to the University of Alberta and other laboratories it seems likely that this despicable practice is continuing and must be stopped.
